Dr Nick Kennedy

Nick is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter where he is a member of the IBD pharmacogenetics research group.

Nick has an interest in understanding treatment response in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and has played a leading role in design and analysis in the personalised anti-TNF therapy in Crohn’s disease (PANTS) and Impact of Biologic and Immunomodulatory Therapy on SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Immunity in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (CLARITY IBD) cohorts.

Dr Tariq Ahmad

Tariq is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and leads the Exeter IBD and Pharmacogenetics Research group at University of Exeter.

Tariq has led several research programmes in inflammatory bowel disease personalised care including predicting serious drug side effects in gastroenterology (PRED4), personalised anti-TNF therapy in Crohn’s disease (PANTS) and Impact of Biologic and Immunomodulatory Therapy on SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Immunity in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (CLARITY IBD) cohorts.
